Anyone have any work arounds for the 1040-ES not being final? Anyone know if this is an IRS issue or Intuit?
Either way, Intuit is becoming trash... 1127-NYC not final until 2/19 either. And then when 2/19 gets here they will push it out until the 26th.
What a joke...
I would also like to know why these forms are not available. Raise the price for the program!!!
But forms are always in holding, we are given dates and them still no form(Joke for sure)
IRS has to finalize the form and the instructions, then they have to approve Intuits version of the form before it can be released
The 1040ES just recently became finalized on the IRS website, they dont even have them alone to download, you have to get the whole 1040ES instruction booklet, which is different from prior years
It may be easier to set up the very first one as direct debit, then send the other ones to the client once they've been released. Would at least get it off your desk and you can send the others after the 15th of April.
I feel like the 1127 one, each year people complain about how long it takes.
IRS doesn't like to release the forms before January 15 because otherwise people will use them for making the last payment for the previous year, rather than the first payment for the current one. I think long ago Intuit looked at that and figured, "well it must not be urgent, and it doesn't look like anyone would want to file them by April 15 anyway."
Someone needs to point out to Jorge that "we want to deal with each client just once, preparing their return at the same time as advising them about quarterly payments."
Of course, since IRS has now asked everyone to jump on the "no paper checks" bandwagon, Intuit might be asking "how high?"
for those clients still hanging on to checks - we gave them the ones with the do not file on them and told them to either make the payment online or call us after 3/1 and we will reprint clean forms
I changed my filing instructions….
”your 2026 ES payments and due dates are… payments should be made @ IRS direct pay… if you need paper vouchers let me know. they will be available on or after 3/15.
