IRS has to finalize the form and the instructions, then they have to approve Intuits version of the form before it can be released
The 1040ES just recently became finalized on the IRS website, they dont even have them alone to download, you have to get the whole 1040ES instruction booklet, which is different from prior years
It may be easier to set up the very first one as direct debit, then send the other ones to the client once they've been released. Would at least get it off your desk and you can send the others after the 15th of April.
I feel like the 1127 one, each year people complain about how long it takes.
