Program updated last night and shortcut is gone, tried to make another one and no luck. I cannot even open the program. Tried to download program from dashboard and it stops at file 32 of 188, I have customers all weekend and am starting to have to cancel appointments, anyone have the same problem

Did you try to start program from the start menu.
Ugh!
First restart the computer, then......Is the program still shown in the Windows programs menu?
Do you see a Tools - Repair updates choice in there? See if that helps at all.
If it doesnt, I'm afraid you're going to have to do a clean reinstall. Its not as daunting as it sounds, but it will take a bit of time
