Paid in capital

A journal entry was entered in QB for an owners initial investment deposit. The credit entry to Paid in Capital shows as a negative on the balance sheet report. Shouldn’t it show as a positive number?

Is this a QB report or is this a ProSeries question?

If that is a QB report, you really need to identify the specific report and even the edition of QB in use, to know if that is a display issue or an entry problem. You didn't identify if that is an equity account, either. Lastly, you didn't identify what that JE looks like, or if they hit Opening Balance Equity in that entry.

Thanks.
