How do we resolve the Conditional Accept for the Form 114 when the error is 'contains special characters'?

I understand that the return needs to be resubmitted as amended; however, in order to get rid of special characters the information needs to be overridden because (ironically) ProSeries auto-populates the information with special characters on its own. Does overriding prevent the resubmission of the amended Form 114?
