No help for you, but that's why I have Carbonite. has saved me many times.
If an answer solves your issue, click on the "Accept as Solution" button! Makes it easier for people to find answers to similar questions that have already been posted.
Also FileScavenger, does what it sounds like. Inexpensive and if you deleted the file recently, better chance it wasn't overwritten on your drive, and you can restore it.
