HOW DO I TRANSMIT A 2019 1040X?

THE EF STATUS IS "AMENDED RETURN READY TO TRANSMIT" BUT WHEN I GO TO EFILE-TRANSMIT RETURNS IT COMES BACK NOT TRANSMITTED.

Have you updated the 2019 program recently? 

You may even need to do REFRESH UPDATES to get it to "take".

Did you prepare and e-file  the original?

I think that feature was recently implemented (last week), we can now Efile amended returns that someone else prepared the orignal...as long as it was Efiled and accepted.  

But I think this is only for 2020.  The Fed Info worksheet has a checkbox for it. I dont see the checkbox for 2019, so your question is certainly valid for this post.
