pretty sure IRS only cares about the taxable portion

but should not be filed if the taxable portion is greater than the full distribution.  any idea when the bug will be fixed?

If both the gross and taxable are the same, then it leaves 4a empty and only puts the amount in 4b...I think this is where its getting screwy when multiple 1099s are entered.

Ive tried to recreate what people are seeing, I haven't run across a situation that looks off yet.

If you read the instructions, (at least for most IRA distributions) basically, if the gross is the same as the taxable then no entry goes in 4a and the total goes to 4b. So, no bug there.

suggestion override then answer yes when efile review asks to allow overrides
