Georgia State product not pulling Federal Itemized totals when Federal Standard is larger than itemized

Federal standard deduction is $24k and Itemized deductions are $21k. So need to use standard on federal and itemize Georgia, but the program won't pull total from Federal Schedule A unless I choose itemized over standard on federal

Georgia used to have to follow federal for itemized vs. standard.  Did they change that law?

If not, you may want to look at itemized deductions on federal to see if you might save more on the GA return by itemizing than you'll lose on the federal return by not taking the standard deduction.
