Electronic withdrawals

My client was to have her tax due electronically withdrawn on 4/6/26. Return was accepted on 3/26/26, as of today, still no electronic withdrawn and tax due is +$30,000. I researched IRS website and it suggests to allow 7-10 business days before calling them. I assume if the amount is not withdrawn by 4/15/26, my client will be assessed interest. Any one have similiar issue?

call the phone number on the 8879, make sure you have the client info and banking info on hand, it will ask, see if anything is scheduled...when they ask what type of payment tell them it was an EFILE payment, not EFTPS.

If nothing is scheduled for the EFILE payment, go to IRS DirtectPay and get it done!
