I just spent 4 hours with 3 representatives who knew absolutely nothing about removing a password from the efile password section. all I wanted to do is remove the password function when efiling tax returns.
They had me refresh twice, uninstall and install the software and still could not get the password removed.
How ridiculous can this be. So they escalated the issue and not heard from them yet.
I have never experience such incompetence with their team since this incident.
I am using Rightworks hosting with Proseries 2024....Does anyone have any solutions?
Have you tried change the password to a blank. Enter original password then just hit enter for the new password.
I don't have the program, but that process works for Lacerte.
Let us know if that works.
Of course we did. it was escalated to 2 levels and they tried it no less than 10 times and had me re install the software.
The access rights feature is not set up so it does not apply any more.
This is unacceptable
Please do not test my abilities. We tried everything, we have a case open with no results.
Also, we can change the password but cannot remove it. We also just found out that all Rightworks users have to change to change it as there is not a universal password reset.
Please respond if you are a Rightworks user only as it it is only happening in Rightworks platforms.
I also have the local network version and it works fine to remove the password as long as you are at the admin station.
Is there a Proseries moderator with a brain that can help?
