I prepared a return for a client on my desktop but all of my pay-per-return and e-file records are on my laptop.  Can I move the client's data from the desktop to the laptop without disturbing the e-file and pay-per-return records?

Use the BackUp and Restore option within ProSeries, all Ef and PPR info will go along with it.

Hilight the file in a regular HB view (not the EFCenter) FILE > Client File maint> BackUp
