Entering a $1,000,000 1099-B transaction on the Schedule D

When we try to enter a summary transaction from a 1099-B that is 1 million dollars or more, whether it be proceeds or cost basis, we receive an error message indicating that "the value is too large for this field. Please enter a smaller number". Since we intend to attach a copy of the 1099-B we only need to enter the "totals" lines and we have a line with a number larger than $1,000,000. How do we enter this?

Double click on the entry line for the 1099B worksheet, the new worksheet that opens will take up to $999,999,999.  It chokes at 1 billion, but it will take 999 million, so that should work for your situation.
