My barber told me that we can start e-filing now since it is after January 1st. But when I try to e-file the 25 returns I have ready to go, it won't let me transmit them. Does anybody know when we can start? I should have another 30 returns done by the end of the day and clients are asking me where their refund is. Is this an IRS or Intuit problem?
Sorry, I just wanted to be the first to officially ask the question that usually starts by now😁

But I'm pretty sure I saw a vid where someone got their refund already. You're late.
That gave me a good laugh for a Friday!
If I had nothing else to do, I'd check out the TurdohTax forum to see how many folks are complaining over there. But my plant leaves need dusting first 😉
"But my plant leaves need dusting first"
And I would too but I do need to clip my nails first.
Finger nails or toe nails?
Paw nails
Good luck then... Juno absolutely HATES having her nails done.
It takes a long time for me to do —— trying to work a set of clippers with paws isn’t easy.
According to House rules, e-file returns can't be accepted until a Speaker is chosen.
LOL... I have it on for background noise while I work on organizers.
"e-file returns can't be accepted until a Speaker is chosen"
Sounds like e-filing is going to be really, really, late this year.
Or.. not... done deal now.
So do we get to e-file today? 😀
Suuuuuuuurreeee.... Go for it 😉
Thanks ------- I got my first batch of returns filed and accepted --------- but I did have to get my DeLorean running to get it done.
I’m unsure about the situation, but when I attempted to e-file my clients' returns for the Advanced Loan, I received an error code (54). Support informed me that e-filing is down until January 15th. However, I've heard that others are already receiving their Advanced SBTPG. I was told we could complete this process on January 2nd, 2025, yet now it seems that the only option available is through Turbo Tax. Could someone please clarify this situation?
I think some years Intuit has allowed some “test” returns to go through early with ProSeries. But I don’t know what their plans are this year.
"The issue is that I’m offering the Advance Loan through SBTPG. I need to e-file the application with Intuit, which I will forward to the bank. Once e-filing is open with the IRS, Intuit will send the application to the IRS.
I don't do advances so I can't provide any guesses about that.
I am seeing on Social Media that people are posting that they have received their SBGTP advance, and yet I am not to send up my files for my clients?? what the heck is going on...
Like I said, I don't dabble in bank stuff. You might want to call Intuit on that.
Yes, I have talked to about 5 employees and all they do is refer me to online topics that say nothing or give me nothing to solve the issue - This is BS - I am playing by the rules and following all instructions and still can not find a solution for there problem, I say their problem because they told me I was able to offer the advance loan on Jan 2nd now I have upset customers and yet you can get it your advance via online Turbo Tax -- this is undercutting us, professionals who pay a lot to money for the software and Traning
I don't know how any of that works since I have never offered it but does the issue relate to not being able to e-file until later in the month? Have you offered the service through Intuit in the past?
Yes, this is the 1st time I am having issues - they say e-filing will begin Jan 29th - so I have posted that the Advance will take place on Jan 2 per the advertising I received - this is really bad for business -
@Anonymous - can someone at Intuit help him out with his issue?
did anyone get back to you. I am having the same issue
@IRonMaN I think you may know the new proposed head of the Department of Transportation. Maybe you could use that contact to resolve all of the issues here.
I tried to meet with him regarding our issues. But every time I tried to meet him at his office I just kept walking into a wall painted like a doorway.
