Taxpayer received a letter from FTB changing her filing status from head of household to single because form CA 3532 was filled out incorrectly- (box 1b was was check instead of 1a) What should I do to correct this mistake?

What does the letter say you should do if you dont agree?
May be able to correct it with an explanation letter and the corrected form, or you may have to amend with the correct info/box checked.

The letter says taxpayer should call with any relevant document.
But I will also call to explain my error and ask for assistance to correct the error.
I will let you know the outcome of my telephone conversation with the FTB.
