CA (California) does not have a 1040, they use 540. (They haven't gotten their act together as of this date for a 2018 form) https://www.ftb.ca.gov/forms/drafts/index.shtml

CA (Canada) does not have a 1040, they use T1. (Eh?)

According to the release date schedule the initial version was supposed to be available 11/15 with the final version set for 1/4

But it was not available with the 11/15 release date. Any plans for release before 1/4?

I don’t work for Intuit so all I can tell you is what they have published.  If you want a more helpful answer, call support.

This is your source of truth: https://accountants.intuit.com/tax/proseries/resources/release-dates/index-18.jsp as mentioned 11/15 was supposed to be the release date. If the initial is released prior i don't believe there are any plans to release the final version prior to 1/4: https://accountants.intuit.com/_intuit/accountants/tax/2018/proseries/fragments/resources-release-da...

CA doesn't have CA available yet. All forms are still in draft mode.

Im looking at the new California Schedule CA (that includes the misc itemized deductions that the feds took away) in the 2018 TurboTax program, obviously its not a final and it still has some calculation errors in it, but its there.

Since when does CA have a 1040?

Maybe your question from last year will help (I haven't checked the FTB website THIS year, yet) :
