Why does my Standard Deduction show $26,600.00 instead of $24,000.00

I itemized deductions to see if they exceeded the standard deduction. They didn't. I chose Standard Deduction. The figure on that line indicates $26,600.00 instead of $24,000.00. Why?

65 or older gets an additional $1300 per person added to the 24000.

Does this sound like your situation?
