I received a 53.7% increase to renew my Pro Series pkg for 2025-2026.
"I called twice and had to talk to people I could hardly understand their broken English."
I used to watch Swamp People. It sounds like you got a hold of the Louisianna support center.
As a side note, if you saw that big of an increase, it sure sounds like you got on with a special deal. Specials don't last forever.
That isn't the case at all. I have been with Intuit ProSeries for multiple years and the increase has been less than $100 each year that I have renewed until now.
Were you on a discounted rate for new customers for the first few yeas and now its up to normal pricing? Ive heard of that happening, new customers get these crazy cheap prices for X number of years, then that rate is gone.
What package did you purchase and whats the quote?
No....I wasn't given a special rate. I have been using Pro Series for at least ten years. I would like to know if others are seeing this amount of increase in their pkg going forward into next year.
Nope. Sounds like you had a special deal. I wouldn't gripe too much. Intuit might realize they undercharged you these past years and try to bill you for the difference now.
Every time I click review quote it sends me to training portal..............What am I doing wrong!

HOW much is your quote and for what package? Nobody here can tell you if what you're seeing is expected or not.
The 1040 Complete and 1041 $1308.
I totally agree with you regarding the increase in price and support is almost non existent. I needed them
at least 3 to 5 time this year and no one could help me. I have never called support before for assistance and I have worked with ProSeries Professional since 2017. It is time to shop around and speak with my
friends as well as other accountants what they use and the cost as well as the support. If anyone finds something that is better than the program I use and for a decent price just send me info to check it out.

thats your total cost? or thats the amount of increase?
Ive got 1040 Complete and use Pay per return for 1041/1065/1120 etc and I pay about $3000 a year plus the PPR fees.
So if youre only paying 1308, thats a screaming deal!
My Quote: 2025 ProSeries PowerTax Lite $5,705.2 + $490.50 PS Pro Fast Path = $6,194.70. It was $5,000+ for 2024.
Preparing one additional 1040 return generally pays for my price increase each year, I dont think thats unreasonable.
Yes, but do you realize in 100 years you will have to do, uh, let's see,...a lot more returns?
I like to work with simpler math. If your increase is $300 and you have 300 clients, you can just increase each client by 73 cents to break even ---------------- but someone might want to check my math just to make sure that is correct. it might only be 69 cents but give me some time to verify that number.
When Brother Cooley started a century ago he actually bartered for his fee, and accepted things like eggs and milk. Before retiring he did raise his fees to compensate for inflation.😉
I have raised my prices 10% across the board, each year, for the last three years. Folks are 'warned' in the client letter that goes with their organizer.
I've lost THREE clients due to the price increase, maybe a couple more that just didn't re-appear. Some of the *didn't re-appear* were ones I told to stop withholding as the only reason they had to file was to get all the withholding back. I told them, if they did want to file just for identity theft or statute of limitations....IRS Free File was a great thing to use.
You were probably using ATX software until its 2012 meltdown. ProSeries offered discounted rates to former ATX customers back then. They guaranteed them for three years, but renewed them with small increases until then. Now they appear to be renewing them at the same price as ATX would cost. ATX hasn't had any recent problems, you can always go back. But you won't save any money.
