I have amended a 2019 tax return I filed last year. It was rejected with the error detail stating - the year of the PrimarySignatureDt in the Return Header must be equal to the processing year. The taxpayers signature date must be in the current processing year. I am at a loss as to how to correct. I have updated and refreshed my 2019 software. I do not follow what the error detail is telling me to do. Help

Yes, new 8879 has been signed. I have just resubmitted the amendment. Hopefully this resolves the problem. As always you are a life saver
You need a current year PIN date. You had the clients sign a new 8879, right?

Lisa worked, you are the best!!!!
Changing the date to the current year does NOT work. It's still rejecting.

And youre getting this same rejection message as the original poster of this thread?
"PrimarySignatureDt in the Return Header must be equal to the processing year"
or are you getting a different rejection message?
1 Go to homebase, and click on EF Clients tab
2- Highlight your client
3-From top menu click on E-file> Filing Electronically> Update Acknowledgment Status
4- open the client file & change the date to today's date
5- resubmit the file again
