I have unresolved issues signing into Intuit Accountants Community on my Dell XPS 8930 computer using any of my browsers -- Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge. ProConnect Tax Support says the issue is not the website, it's something on my computer. Dell Tech support says the issue is the website, not something on my computer.I have spent lots of time trying to get help with this issue to no avail.

I learned this week that I can use a computer at my local library and have no issues signing into Intuit Accountants Community, posting a reply, giving cheers, and now asking a question using the steps in Community Basics. I would rather not have to use a public computer to do this.

I am able to find my questions and replies using my iPhone 11 and Reply to Message. However, I have not figured out how to ask the community a question using my cell phone. Can someone please help me? 

If someone can tell me why I always get redirected from https://accountants.intuit.com/community/ to https://www.intuit.com/ on my Dell XPS 8930 computer at my home, I would be very very appreciative. If I can't resolve this issue, I am seriously considering changing my Username from nmms to unhappy camper! 😕 😞

This sounds like either you have malware affecting your browser or something in your cache.  Try clearing your cache & cookies within your browser.  Then close the browser completely out and restart it again.  If you are still able to get to our community page, you may want to have your antivirus software run a thorough scan.  You can also check for an extensions that you may have installed on your computer in your browser that may be causing a redirect.

I can’t count the number of times I have done all that as well as with Dell Tech Support on the phone doing all of that. I have spent many hours many times searching for what could be the problem, how to resolve it, and taking all those steps as well as reaching out to all support available to me including Intuit, Dell Tech Support, and my internet provider Cox Technical Support, spending many hours on the phone with them having remote access to my computer. None of the steps worked. My issue has not been resolved.

i am using Safari on my iPhone 11 to access your reply to my question and post this reply. Unfortunately, I have not figured out a way to ask a question using this phone. What I need is for support to have remote access to attempt to do that. I don’t know if that is even possible. Do you?

Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to remote control customer computers.  Also since it is a browser issue it would not be something that ProConnect support would handle as that is considered to be a Windows issue.  The only other option I could think of would be to try somewhere like a Best Buy Geek Squad that could actually look at your computer in person instead of remote access.  I'm sorry but that is the best option I can think of.

Is that what is happening?  It just redirects you?

You posted a question about 3 weeks ago.  Did this problem just start happening within the last 3 weeks?

I would first try temporarily disabling your anti-virus and firewall, to see if that changes anything.

 

As a work-around, have you tried Googling "How to stop [enter your browser name] from redirecting" and tried to manually disable your browser from redirecting?
