When the Federal Individual return has been e-file and "Accepted" the Form 8879 is not printing the Submission Identification Number (SID) on the form as expected.
This unexpected behavior has been brought to the attention of our development team. We are currently working on resolving this issue and incorporating it into a future update release.
Workaround:
The Form 8879 is not sent to the IRS. Instead, the electronic return originator must obtain and retain a completed for 8879 for their records. The SID can be written on this page for future reference.
