Submitted by kc07932 on 01-19-2026 03:54 PMIt is impossible to know how many states or gift returns I will be doing for 2025, back in June of 2025 when asked to pay for the upcoming year. Clients change, where they live changes, etc. Lacerte should move to billing for individual rep charges for states and other returns that you do not have critical mass, but then stop billing once we hit bundled fee. For instance if you have to file 9 gift tax returns before it makes sense to buy unlimited, charge the fee for the first 8 or 9 but if we have more than 9 stop charging and treat us is we purchased unlimited.
