ProConnect: Both taxpayers names listed in Client sectionNew

In the Client section, can we have a space to add both taxpayer’s names. Many times, the two married people have different last names. Currently the Last Name field does not allow enough text spaces to add another name or a long name. It would be good if there was a separate place for both taxpayers first and last name. It would also be very helpful if the Client Excel download included both taxpayer names.

2025 Proseries Form 706 - description field text not wrappingNew

Is anyone else having this problem?   Because the text does not wrap, the font just gets smaller and smaller to the point it is not readable.  For Forms 706, the description is at times very long. Does anyone have a work around?

Does anyone know when Lacerte will be able to e-file Oregon CAT return?New

It’s frustrating that Lacerte still can’t e-file Oregon CAT returns after so many years. Intuit seems to be extremely behind in getting specific state/local returns configured for e-filing compared to all other tax software providers.Does anyone know if this is in the works or how we can put the pressure on Intuit to get this done?!

Washington's income tax is only on capital gains.  When I try to prepare a Washington return (without cap gains) it is asking me to buy the REP.  This needs to be fixed as VERY VERY few Washington residents will be above the threshold (250K) for filing returns.

It would be helpful if in Lacerte one would be able to generate local estimates for each quarter for the year for the various local entities in Pennsylvania.  I know that other tax software companies do provide this feature.

Critical Diagnostic needed for Dividend income entries exceeding the Total Ordinary Dividends inputNew

I’m requesting a critical diagnostic and better instructions for the 1099-Div input screen (Personal return). Proconnect allows the user to make entries in the fields for Qualified Dividends, Capital Gain Distributions, and US Bonds.The program only carries the input for “Total Ordinary Dividends” to Schedule B Part II. Any amounts entered in the 3 other fields listed above do not get included in Dividend income, they are used to tell the program how much of the total ordinary dividends are taxed differently. For example, an entry in US Bonds makes that amount not taxable to the state. While this is correct, it should give a critical diagnostic if the sum of the amounts in these other 3 fields exceed the amount in the total ordinary dividends field.I’m posting this because US bond income from 1099-Int were erroneously entered in the US Bonds input field for 1099-Div. The amount massively exceeded the amount in ordinary dividends and proconnect only included the smaller amount on Schedule B. This left a clients income underreported by over 300k, massive tax bill, and significant penalties and interest. I understand that this is technically an input error made by the preparer but please add a critical diagnostic about this going forward.
