It is impossible to know how many states or gift returns I will be doing for 2025, back in June of 2025 when asked to pay for the upcoming year. For instance if you have to file 9 gift tax returns before it makes sense to buy unlimited, charge the fee for the first 8 or 9 but if we have more than 9 stop charging and treat us is we purchased unlimited.
