Submitted by Kimberley on 02-11-2024 07:57 PMLacerte currently has the ability to separate a MARRIED return into separate returns. But, I do not see a mechanism to take two individual single filers and join them when they marry. We either have to update one file by adding the new spouse and updating all of the prior year information or we have to create an entirely new client file and manually join their information.
