Critical Diagnostics - Taxpayer Authentication

Eiger

I have valid driver's licenses information entered for both the taxpayer and the spouse, with expiration dates well beyond 2024 and picking "Remote - Valid Govenrment ID or Financial/Utility Acct Number" as Taxpayer Identity Verification method ... and yet the following critical diagnostic remains:

efile:  Please verify that the prior year driver's license(s) state id(s) are correct.  (ref. #49354).

Does anyone know why that is and how to address it?

Thank you

Some state REQUIRE a driver's license. Either (a) Get the required information or (b) ignore the diagnostic and hope you can e-file the state tax return.
