I just refiled all my 940s and they were rejected again due to the banking information. At this point I don’t know where the fault lies, but Intuit is not providing any real answers. The last update from the admin said the 940 issues were resolved, yet the rejections continue. Intuit is failing all of us who are trying to stay compliant and meet our deadlines.
Found this information online:
🧩 What’s actually happening
Based on the patterns other payroll pros are reporting:
• The IRS is rejecting the bank account verification fields that Intuit transmits with the 940, even when the data is correct.
• The issue is not with your EIN, bank account, or routing number — it’s the schema Intuit is sending.
• Intuit has repeatedly posted “fixed” notices, but the rejections continue for many users.
Same issue here. EasyAcct, when will the 940 be ready to efile?
All of mine got rejected as well...
Same issue here!
We are also about to scream trying to get 940's to electronically file. Makes you wonder if all the problems are a way to lead more clients to use Quickbooks. That's my theory. They would make more money per company on a monthly fee basis.
This software has always been a step ahead but this year, it's about to kill us!!!
Has anyone tried just putting the bank info in there and seeing if it gets accepted?
I don't know about anyone else, but I do not have that information on hand for ALL of my clients. It would be one thing if it we just 1 or 2 company's but that is not the issue.
Did you get your email confirmations and did you enter the bank account information.
I have not updated with the updates this week. I am just printing everything and it is matching so far. I don't want the update to screw up that progress. so I am waiting...
We haven't resent since the update.
Hello! We have had reports on this post that 940s are being accepted. We would ask that you try and submit them again after updating.
