INFORMATION RETURN SYSTEM

Is there a FIX for issues with the INFO RETURN SYSTEM????  I can't create a transmission file without getting various diagnostics errors and then the whole program just SHUTS OFF AND DISAPPEARS when I try to access Transmit Electronic Returns.  We did the Easy Acct update a few days ago and are running version 2025.2.01 and we downloaded the INFO RETURN SYSTEM at the same time.   What is going on with this?????????????????????

Same here. In 2024 data saled though. Same data for addess & Zip craps out in 2025. Why?

Hi All, 

Thank you for taking the time to give us the feedback and for keep the conversation going. We recognize how important timely communication is, especially when issues are impacting daily work. We definitely are trying to keep up with the posts here. We do have an update today. Your concern may not be listed in this release; however, for visibility, we are including this information here in case this post is found first.

At this time, we do not have an estimated timeline for all fixes. With the current 2025.2.02 release, the following items are included in the update:

 

  • Printing MICR checks doesn't have a space between the routing number and the account numbers
  • Company Wizard does not allow Custom Financial Statements to be Transferred
  • Creating transmission file in IRS 2025 generates an error
  • W-2 only creating W-2 for 1 employee
  • Creating transmission file in IRS 2025 showing incorrect file name when creating.
  • When Printing W2s with an Employee Range it errors No Employee Records Found
  • OK Forms OES-3 Results in error when check box to add Bank Info is selected
  • ZeroBalance field is not updating correctly during customer save/update
  • BatchPayroll-->ManualProcessing-->After entering any check number application is getting crashed
  • Automatic Deductions Report does not print for any withholding item selected
  • Import 1099-NEC CSV file in IRS Program generates Error 0
  • Bank Reconciliation , listing all of the payroll checks under 1 employee name.
  • A/R Transaction Entry Invoice Deletion Failure
  • Bank Reconciliation showing period in Payee/Description field
  • A/P transactions not listed in A/P Check Register Report
  • A/P Automatic Invoices not generating and giving an Error message
  • RUNTIME error number 0 , payroll wont print

@Kathi_at_Intuit  - the post was for the Information Return System.  For those of us that use the Information Return System but not EasyAcct, I am assuming the update you are referring to had nothing to do with the stand alone users of the Information Return software?

Hi @IRonMaN Thanks for the tag. Anything that says IRS is for the standalone program. Which are:

  • Import 1099-NEC CSV file in IRS Program generates Error 0
  • Creating transmission file in IRS 2025 generates an error
  • Creating transmission file in IRS 2025 showing incorrect file name when creating.

I have lost a week's production on forms 1099 due to the errneous diagnostic relative to addresses and zip code. 

The 2025 Info program gives diagnostics on the aforementioned data fields EVEN THOUGH THEY WORKED FINE FOR 2024.

HELP!!!!!!!!!

I was promised a return call on this fix before noon today. It is now 4:06PM.

Just to prove I'm not a total ogre I appreciate EZ getting the forms 940 to us at the beginning of the year. This helped a lot.

@Kathi_at_Intuit  we have downloaded the update/s and we are still having the EXACT same issues with INFO RETURN SYSTEM.  I can't create a transmission file without getting various diagnostics errors including "CF/SF--STATE INFORMATION NOT PRESENT FOR C/F".  I've never seen these errors in all the years we've used this program, and then the whole program just SHUTS OFF AND DISAPPEARS when I try to access 1099s in Transmit Electronic Returns.  This is unreasonable to have this many issues when we are working under a looming deadline, especially considering the level of which the price for this software (Easy Accounting) has INCREASED. Where are the benefits? When can we expect these issues to be resolved? Please advise. Thank you!

ALSO: Easy Accounting remains very slow in the write up module when you're trying to go from one month to another.
