I'm still getting the underlying error on rollback, now some of my clients are saying unable to access the data files & others just won't respond period. WTF INTUIT? Does anyone have any answers or workarounds to get around this crap? I HAVE to get payroll's done today & I cannot get into the data files to even begin to process it & all INTUIT can say is restore back to the 24 version & lose all of the payroll's since then...BULL***t! Anyone with any helpful info please email me ASAP so I can get these payroll's ran. I have ACH's that have to go out before 4 PM central time....HELP PLEASE!
I haven't had any problems. What issues are you having?
After I get everything fixed & even after I downloaded the latest update some of my data files are still saying unable to access the data files for company x? Whatever company I'm trying to go into. I need to know if anyone can fix the situation because apparently Intuit isn't going to.
Intuit can log onto your computer and fix it. You might want to go that route since this isn't a common problem.
I am having numerous problems with EASYACCT new update for 2025/2025. An update to fix them all would be nice ASAP
Hi @nickdrake Thanks for posting in the Community and for sharing those details. We understand it’s important for the software to function smoothly, especially when payroll is involved, and how frustrating issues like this can be. There has been an updated since the second post that may help with the error. Please make sure you’re fully up to date, and if further assistance is needed, EasyACCT Support would be able to review this with you directly.
Hi @delaine Nice to see you in the Community and thank you for posting. There was an update yesterday that might help with the issues you are seeing. We would recommending making sure you are up to date and see if this resolves what you are seeing. If you need further help, please reach out to EasyACCT Support for assistance.
What is the version of the update that was done yesterday?
We changed over to the 2025/2026 version yesterday at our firm. It is painfully slow and the blue circle is constantly visible. It takes a long time to update the journals, you have to wait to print reports, and it has kicked us out repeatedly. Processing payroll for our clients was a nightmare. Can you please let us know if this will be fixed soon? After paying thousands of dollars for the software, I would hope that the newest version was tested thoroughly to ensure that there would not be these issues, but that doesn't seem to be the case. We spoke to Intuit and all they could say was that they are working on it.
This is frustrating and costing our firm time and money.
2025.1.07
We are using version 2024.3.09 and the system says there are no updates available.
You need to login to mypronnect.intuit.com & download the latest version & install it over the top of that version. That should fix whether or not you see when an update is available. Also, you might want to check to see if any firewall's or virus programs are blocking the port EasyAcct uses to send down the notifications letting everyone know there is an update available. I hope this helps. Also, if you can't get into the site above, just let me know & I will email you the link to download it to save you some trouble.
Thank you!! I really appreciate your help! I will see what I can do.
Okay, I figured it out. Unfortunately, the update is to roll over to the 2025/2026 year, but I can't do that yet since I still have payrolls to do this year in the 2024/2025 EasyAcct. You have to wait to update until after all payrolls are done for the year or else it messes everything up.
Call 12/3/25 was on phone over 1.5 hours, no fix sent copy of a file to support, someone was supposed to respond within 24 hours. Today is Friday 12/05/25 no fix, no response, no update to correct multiple bugs including "Unable to access data".
We were told to reinstall 2024/2025, as they have no idea when a fix might be available. Wish they would not let people update until they fix all of the issues.
We know this has been frustrating for many of you, and your feedback has been shared with the appropriate team. We truly appreciate your patience as our development team works through these concerns. Our team is actively investigating and working to resolve them as quickly as possible.
I am with you. I did the update this morning and still the same old crap. When will the wake up and get this crap fixed.
Same here update installed, payroll still does not calculate correctly and some files still unable to access data.
Hope we have corrections this week, end of year reports, W-2s will not be fun without.
Hi @Cannonaccounting Thanks for sharing your experience. We know how frustrating it is when the software isn’t working as expected. Our development team is working to resolve these concerns as quickly as possible, and we’ll keep updating the post as we get more information.

Hello All,

I've uploaded new version on my computer for new year but have no clue how to install it ......Is there some kind of step by step instructions for someone thats not use to doing this? I have a new icon on my page but I'm just not sure what to put when it gets to things like "what directed path do you want to locate it".
@stevepyle Welcome to the Community and thanks for posting your first question. We recommend reaching out to EasyACCT Support. They would be able to assist with this and would also be able to let you know what the current concerns are for the program.

My update is a mess. I have tried running payroll reports and they are blank. When I go from one month to the next it keeps posting and it takes forever to finish. It looks like it's updating the same thing over and over. When we called them on Tuesday we were on hold for and hour and a half. The Tech finally was able to remote in. Said Oh yes we know the problem. Going to be fixed on Thursday. I just updated from the internet. Nothing was fixed. I can't deal with this. As most of us we are trying to close last year. I need the problem fixed.
I am in agreeance with all of you because I've seen the worst of this program so far this year & we're 8 days in. If that's any indication, I hate to see the rest of the year. It might be one of those tuck your tail & run years. Regardless of the situation, ranting is not the reason I replied to the post. I just wanted to let everyone know that if you haven't already done so, I would advise turning off your automatic posting options until this crap gets settled. That is probably the #1 thing that will slow the program down the most. If you have it turned off already & are still experiencing the slowness, then I would advise you talking to an Information Technology team & see if there is anything you can do on your side to speed things up. I know you're probably thinking I'm making excuses & trying to sell something just to calm things down, but I can assure you I'm not. I am writing about this because I just did it. I just replaced our firewall box & some cables & upgraded our Amazon Workspaces & now I'm faster than before. I know some of you are going to say you don't want to spend any more money on anything, let alone software & upgrades, and I agree 100%. I didn't want to have to myself, but it ended up being the only way I could make a significant difference without having to repeat the process & upgrade again next year. I promise you...it will be well worth it. Again, I'm not getting paid for anything & I'm not selling any kind of services so you can take this with a grain of salt. This is just FYI from personal experience. I have been using this program just as long as most of you have & I agree this has to be the worst rollout I've ever seen in my life. I'm just hoping this all gets fixed soon so we can get into preparing returns & not have a bunch of mistakes to have to go back & fix in the meantime. Kathi, we appreciate your moderating of the situation, & anyone else involved too. We understand ya'll are having problems & we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. At the same time though, Intuit is costing me & everyone else time & money by having to input things 2 & 3 times, copy data to another location, fix data files, and all this other crap that keeps going on with EasyAcct. Ya'll keep this up & we're gonna have to rename the program to "Hard as Hell Acct", because with the way things are going thus far, there's nothing EASY about it. We do appreciate your moderating & trying to smooth things over, but I think many people are getting very impatient with your company & the coders. I don't think this is deliberate because I just don't see an advantage to it, however, I have been wrong about many things. I'm sorry we've turned this into a sounding board, but ya'll have kinda brought this on yourself & in many peoples eyes, you're not looking too good at the moment. Especially since your word has been "CRAP" so far. I don't mean to be so blunt, but I feel as though nothing is getting solved by being so passive & I feel like if we don't see some results soon, you're probably going to have more people than not to jump ship. At this point I'd settle for an update every day if it would fix at least 1 problem & make the program run smoother. Again, I apologize for making this a sounding board & getting on my soap box again, but I, along with a bunch of other people, feel like someone is not listening or just doesn't give a **bleep**! Excuse my language!
Thank you for the continued feedback.
