remove client email address from signature area of tax return

I would like an option, just as with the client telephone number, to not print or include the client email address in the signature area of the tax return. Providing the client email address is not required by the IRS. Ethically, we are required to protect our clients personal information and we should not be forced to provide this information to the IRS just because we store it on the client's Federal Information Worksheet.

Absolutely right.  Prior to the 2020 tax season, the email entered on the Federal Information Worksheet did not automatically populate onto Form 1040.  Privacy and information security being what they are, the email entered on the client worksheet should only be transferred as an option.  The default setting should be to leave that information blank, just like telephone numbers.

At the moment Intuit expects us to remove the email address from the information in order for it not to print on the tax return.  This is unacceptable.  There is no current option to simply not print out the information on the tax return as there is with telephone numbers.

This must be fixed by Intuit immediately!

The IRS will never email you.  What is the purpose of having the email address print on the tax return?  From where did this idea originate?

Placing the email on the tax return is not OK.  Are you going to inconvenience me to have to remove all the email addresses from every tax return which is currently in the software and is convenient for me?

Why is this open for a vote?   

Am I missing something?

If not, then this time wasting is infuriating.
