ProConnect vs. ProSeries

Tributos

Hi, I've been using ProConnect the past two years and curious if anyone switched between the two products of ProConnect [PC] and ProSeries [PS]. My interest is in the ease of data entry and ability to clearly view the data input on the forms themselves. Using ProConnect I can import most forms and 'view the tax return' as a separate function. I file 1040,1041, 1120-S and do MFJ splits.

Admittedly, sometimes I get lost looking for the 'next' part of the form in PC which at times happens to be in the upper right hand corner and hardly visible on the screen.

The forms based seems to display a bit better as well in demos of PS, the font comes across a little light in PC.

I have looked at the chart that compares all the product features, but I'd like to hear from users 🙂

Please, chime in if you have switched between the two and what your likes/dislikes have been.

Thanks All!

I’ve been using PS Pro for 25+ years. It fits my practice well and I’m  comfortable with its functionality presentation and workflow.

If you call the sales department you can take the 24 version for a test drive and see if it’s a good fit for you.

I have haven't used ProConect.  I use ProSeries.  But it will be a cold day is you-know-where before I would change software to another Intuit software.  Intuit is evil and doesn't give a *blank* about tax professionals or Intuit's professional tax programs.

You said you want the "ability to clearly view the data input on the forms themselves", which means I think forms-based software is what you are looking for.  Beside ProSeries, both ATX and TaxAct Professional have similar forms-based entry.

Thanks for the feedback & I definitely prefer the forms based. I came from Drake and that's what I used on their software.

I just remembered that the Pro Series does not interface with the Inuit Tax Advisor, which is very convenient.

The alternative I suppose would be to run a comparison/what if scenario in Pro Series.
