Pages to print displayed in Basic is misleading

When I go to make a pdf in Basic, it shows number of pages in the right bottom which is not same as number of pages on the pdf generated as is misleading.

Weird, in Professional, it doesnt show page numbers at all, you just Print to File and it saves it as a pdf.

That was a cutting edge feature in Basic some years ago.. then the ability to do that accurately was lost with an architecture change. Currently there's no way to tell for certain without taking the time to print it.. so what's there is an estimate.  

Having this idea though here is great.. with enough votes we could take a second look and potentially justify the significant work it would take to get back the ability to do an exact page count.

The main problem in prior years actually lies with the "Supporting Statements".   The print page shows each one as a separate page, but in actuality, several are printed on a page.  For example, in 2019 I just tested one with 3 "Supporting Statements" and the print page shows 3 pages, when it actually combines them on one.

I just tested it in 2020, and it seems to now show the actual amount.  I entered three "Supporting Statements", and the print page shows it will be one page.

As a side note, in prior year Basic would print the "Supporting Statement" pages even if you UNCHECK the box on the print page.  It was really annoying.  I am hoping that was fixed for 2020.

It was.. at least it should have been. We actually put a lot of effort these past few months into fixing a lot of print issues that had been around for awhile, including that "Supporting Statement" bug and  trying to get those page counts exact. In regards to getting counts exact we improved it as you noticed, but I know we didn't get to all the edge cases.
