I have been a ProSeries customer for YEARS!

I am not interested in renewing ProSeries for tax year 2023!

HOWEVER, I do need to access and print tax returns for tax years prior to tax year 2023.

I received a message from ProSeries stating that I cannot access and/or print prior year tax returns using ProSeries UNLESS I purchase tax year 2023!

I already purchased PRIOR YEAR PROSERIES SOFTWARE ... FOR YEARS! WHY DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE 2023 PROSERIES IN ORDER TO ACCESS PRIOR YEAR PROSERIES SOFTWARE THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR!?

I sincerely believe this requirement is both unethical AND illegal!

Your unethical/ILLEGAL business practices should be brought to the attention of both the IRS and FBI, and all other ENFORCEMENT entities, both federal and state, regarding your attempts to ILLEGALLY FORCE prior-year customers to continue to use your software ... whether they desire to do so or not!

Sincerely,
Albert A. Warren,Jr.

You don't have to buy 2023. You do have to pay the Fast Path Fee.

Wouldn't a tax preparer/Intuit customer have already paid for the disingenuous Fast Path fee for that particular year?

The fee is only good for that calendar year.  It’s Intuit’s attempt to make sure you never leave:

@reval That's not a defect.  I'm not sure if it's illegal either since it's in the T&C you sign up to but a class action lawsuit may change that.

And remember we don't actually buy the software. We buy a license to use it.
