ALLOW NH EFILING OF BPT/NH 1040 & BET!!

MrMojo

Proseries ONLY Allows eFiling of 'NH Form DP-10' Interest and Dividends.

It does NOT allow eFiling of the BUSINESS returns:

1. Form BT-SummaryNH,

2. Form BET

3. Form NH-1040.

These 3 forms can ONLY be PAPER FILED!

WHY?! PEOPLE HAVE BEEN REQUESTED EFILING CAPABILITY FOR YEARS!

OTHER TAX Software allows Efiling of the NH forms like ProSystem Fx and Lacerte, the latter owned by Intuit! Why the double standard for Lacerte but NOT for Proseries??

Also, Form BET does NOT AUTOMATICALLY FILL IN the information when the income threshold is met or exceed, especially for Form 1040, Sch C filers!

File BET IF Gross receipt >$222,000 or Enterprise Value tax base is >$110,000.

You have to MANUALLY 'Check her if required to file Form BET-80', when it should be done AUTOMATICALLY based on the Income threshold above!!

The form SHOWS the 'gross business receipt for this organization' ... say in this example... $500,000.

The form does NOT PULL the information from Federal Sch C net income or from the wage line, if any, which it SHOULD BE DOING! Same with the 'Interest Paid/Accrued' line.

Currently, the prepare must be aware of the threshold and must manually enter the information!!

Side note...

The sale of Rental Property (Sch E) is TAXABLE in NH under NH 1040!!  Rental property is considered Personal on the Federal level but BUSINESS for NH so subject to tax

Agreed. This is just one more reason to switch tax software and stop overpaying Intuit for ProSeries which they are no longer focusing on supporting. All the money is going to their web based ProConnect or elsewhere.
