In professional. I want to keep the print order that is currently there but I want to add a second copy of the 8879 / Invoice /vouchers at the front for each client

Using Professional 18. I print a copy of the retrun for the client but then print a copy of the invoice / 8879 / and vouchers that I separate for myself. I would like to be able to print these at the front for myself and in the normal printing order for the client. So that I don't have to  go in and print single pages

It’s a pretty complicated process, but you can do it.

Ok, that is a lie but I just wanted to tell you what you wanted to hear so that my post wouldn’t be marked unhelpful like the party guy’s answer was marked.

Because I couldn't help him by stating something as true that isn't true, I wasn't helpful to him. Got it.

Sorry my first ever post and response on one of these. But really it wasn't helpful. To just say No you can't do that. I have already determined that it can't be done, I really looking for work around or other time savers. That would have helpful. Or someone that I can email at Intuit for making that suggestion.  Thanks,

I will give you my not-quite-similar issue and my work around. I like printing the Client Copy with masking the SSNs, etc, and it has a watermark on ALL the forms. I do NOT want watermarks on the 8879, 1040V, 1040ES, however, but if I print them all at once with masking they all have masking and watermarks. So my Print Return parameters for Client Copy do NOT include those forms. Ctrl Y changes those parameters.

I have to manually print those forms separately. This is different from prior years before we had masking.

When I sent 8879s to clients with masking and "Do Not Mail" or "Taxpayer Copy" watermarks, the clients called to ask if they could be mailed, like the 8879s to me and the 1040ES and 1040V to the government. That is not how it should work.

ps Prior to masking, I set the Print All parameters so the 8879, 1040V and 1040ES printed first, then the Slip sheet, then returns. I separately print the letters since I use colored paper for those.

@christopher " I have already determined that it can't be done, I really looking for work around or other time savers." Then you should have stated that as part of your question, Our mind reading skills are limited.
The more I know, the more I don't know.

@sjrcpa not helpful. if you have something constructive to add feel free. otherwise you are just wasting space that people have to scroll through to get to an answer. And wasting my time to come back in to view your comment, thinking it might be something helpful. Have some common courtesy sir.

@christopher That is not the best way to get help from volunteers who are taking time off from their tax practices to try to help you.

@christopher:

This is NOT Intuit support.  Nor, despite our many, many attempts to read minds, we are not that good at it.

WE are volunteers.

YOUR question (?) wasn't clear, at all.

IF you care, you *can* turn off notifications of postings to your incomplete question.

Good luck going forward.

Not sure if you ever got a suitable answer, but why not print to pdf, and then choose the printing order yourself by setting what specific pages you want in the "pages" box? I do this every time to get things printed in the order I prefer, which is only slightly out of order from what the software spits it out as.
