Hello. I efiled an extension in April for a new client. Then I inputed his 2019 tax return into my 2019 Proseries as well as Fixed Asset Manager. It all matches, so I transferred it to 2020 just now. I apparently wiped out any efile extension information. Not sure what to do at this point. Any advise how to recover that? It shows I didn't file anything and I know I did.

If you wrote over the file, yes, it wiped it out, but try this:
Highlight the file in the EFCenter, and choose Update Acks of Selected Files (instead of the regular Receive Acks) and see if that pulls in the acceptance.

Hi Lisa,
Thanks, but no luck. I doubt there is an IRS website where you can go on and see if the EF extension has been filed correct?
Take care.

You have to check the File Form 4868 electronically box in Federal Information Worksheet before you try retrieving the extension acknowledgment
