How do I amend the 1065 federal only, can't seem to find where to tell it not to amend state.

What are you changing on the federal that doesn't have any impact on the state?

Section 199A and the unadjusted basis on K-1, does not impact Virginia

So an amended state comes back to where you started so there shouldn't be any harm in letting it amend itself if it really wants to.
