Taking EV credit

Hi to all.

I am going to file a 2022 tax return.

Client first leased a car and then purchased it in 2022 (Nissan Leaf year made 2020)

Can she take EV credit as used car?

It sounds like your client bought a used EV. I believe that the 2022 credit was for new EV's.

The leasing company got the EV credit when they bought it as new, I dont think 2022 had a credit for used EVs.
