Status of IRS mailing of letter 6419 and 6475?

Supposed to be mailed out this month.  I know Ive seen a few posts in other Tax Prep groups that clients have already started to receive them.

According to this the 6475 won't be sent until the end of this month.

An update today in IR-2022-19:

Scroll about halfway down to find this hidden treasure:

"The IRS will also send Letter 6475 through March to those who were issued third-round payments confirming the total amount for tax year 2021."

So I say we all just shut down and go somewhere warm for the next 6-8 weeks.  We'll come back in mid-March when we might be able to start filing tax returns again.  I'm sure my peeps across the river in MD are on board.  They've already extended the deadline for MD returns to 7/15/22.

A client sent me a photo of one of the letters yesterday.... 

@dkh  I'd rather a much longer season... in fact, as soon as they get the 4868 ready for efile, I'll start sending out extension.  I am way past the 20 hours a day, 7 days a week compressed seasons.
