The math works fine (except the refund meter doesn't include the ISR which is weird, but the end result of balance due is right) but if I input an estimated payment, then it's like it forgets to add the ISR penalty into the amount due.
CA has too many FN pages for me to grab a screenshot that's easy to follow, but there's some bad math happening here!

I saw it too, just hope that they will fix it with the final version for California. By the way, do you know when we will have the final? Right now I can not print out form 540 for my client.

Yesterday the yellow bar at the top says its final and to update, so I updated (the 8879 finally started printing clean) but I dont think the 540 is ready to go.
So your guess is as good as mine.
