New client used TT2017. She holds a mortgage; collects interest. She filled in 1098 in TT. NOTE: 1098 does not seem to do anything.
Maybe she thought TT filed the 1098-Int she was supposed to file; maybe she thought it would import to B. I am not sure. I have never used PS 1098 form. What's it do, if anything? I tried it for first time in PS and cannot figure what it does. Does not import the interest received onto B.

Some people use it to send stuff to Sch A. I just enter the info directly on A. You might be able to link it to E instead. Note it's for 1098s RECEIVED by the taxpayer, not for ones ISSUED.
