If these are the first returns you are efiling - Have you done the PTIN verification ? Tools>Options>Firm/Preparer Info-Preparer/ERO section look for pink box
Have you made sure that the software has the most recent updates?
yes, no updates found today
the EF center
A couple of returns are giving you problems or are all of your returns failing to launch? You have successfully transmitted returns previously and the problem just popped up?
A couple of simple things to try first, if you haven't already. Try rebooting your computer. If that doesn't do anything, try clicking on your computer start menu, select ProSeries and then click on repair updates.
I have assumed that you have scoured those returns and nothing is showing up as pink in the forms area?

Someone over in the FB PS group is having a similar situation, do you see any message about Overrides when it fails to convert?
So I did that and nothing has changed
It still says to correct any errors and none are shown in final review
nothing about overrides
there aren't any in this return
its been only this return
no problem with other returns
If you are positive there are no errors you could always try converting the return by unchecking the error checking feature and see what happens
tried that and it didn't work either
very frustrating
but thank you
How big of a return is it? Is it big enough to warrant a bunch more time trying to figure it out or is it small enough to cut your losses and just delete the return and try from scratch?
So the person over in the FB group called support and they had her remove the 1040 module and reinstall it....so might be worth trying. You wont lose any data.
Windows Add/Remove Programs, choose ProSeries 2021 and choose Uninstall, it will look like its going to uninstall the entire program, DONT PANIC! its not. Once you choose Uninstall it will open a window that has choices of which part to uninstall, choose 1040 and let it do its thing.
When its done, restart your computer. Log back into ProSeries and then go to Update > Select and Download New Products and recheck the 1040 box in the bottom left corner and once that's done, see if you have better luck.
Did not help, getting same error message.
Solved. I'm new to ProSeries and just discovered Final Review. The problem was PTiN verified was not checked.
You must've skipped over my post yesterday suggesting that could be your problem........ glad you are back in business.
MAYBE THAT IS WHY SOME FOLKS TYPE ALL IN CAPS -------- JUST SO YOU DON'T MISS WHAT THEY HAVE TO SAY 😉
