Rejected for IP PIN and can't file after entering IP PIN

I e-filed for my client but the IRS rejected the return for a missing IP PIN (which my client didn't know about).  The client obtained the IP PIN, I entered it, but I can't select the Federal return to e-file because it says "Sent to IRS" even though the log shows it was rejected.

Go to the e-file center, select all, then choose efile from menu, then electronic filing, then click on update acknowledgement status of selected returns. You could also select just the one client, but I always select all.
