@FTAX wants us all to migrate next year......maybe we won't have to make that hard choice maybe Intuit will make it for us. ProSeries seems to be the middle child that is being ignored. Might be Intuit will drop us to invest more into Turbo Tax as more and more people think with the help of the internet/social media, etc they can prepare their own taxes. We will be left with the option of purchasing Lacerte or moving on to another software to prepare taxes for the clients that still want a tax professional to assist them

Although I do appreciate FTAX's speech, I don't fly too well so I won't be in the migration group. But in their defense, Intuit does make you want to scream every now and then. It is frustrating to try to be competitive with other local tax preparers when Intuit ties a couple of anvils around your neck. And to be honest, in the event ProSeries did disappear, there is no way I would move to another Intuit product.
I've never had more demand for my services and I imagine it is that way for most of us here. I stopped accepting most new client requests a few years ago, but the past two years it's become a downright nuisance. The simplification of schedule A a few years ago has been more than offset by the dizzying array of credits. More people need our help than ever before.
Every year for as long as I can remember, theres always some issues at the beginning of the season.
If you're leaving, no need to announce it, just go. Reminds me of FB groups, when whiners announce theyre leaving the group, well don't let the door hit ya on the way out.
If you think the grass is greener someplace else, by all means, go get it!
That one is free too, but the Intuit billboard doesn't give me enough room to add all of the extra details 😁
wow @Just-Lisa-Now- hope that wasn't directed towards me. I was just throwing it out to those hollering for us all to abandon ship that maybe they won't have a ship to abandon.
I don't think it was meant for you so you don't have to worry about being promoted to captain of the Titanic 🚢
👍 you hit a grand slam with that one dkh... Didn't I say you were still number one?☝....🙂🐕
Proseries Software
Hi online community, this is my personal opinion. Although many of us are frustrated with Proseries for the many delays we are experiencing, over the years, during the offseason, I have tried practically any other professional software available and to tell you the truth, I have concluded that none of them is as functional and easy to navigate as Proseries. Some of them are less expensive, some of them are more expensive, but I have found that Proseries is the best software, it just feel so real, easy to transition, etc. Maybe I am wrong, I am just a Proseries user for almost 20 years and I have tried almost all softwares. Just my personal opinion. Thank you.
Where are you located? Are you in one of the states ProSeries annually moves into last place?
’@FTAX wants us all to migrate next year..’
Actually, I would just be happy if we would all just threatened to do so and speak with a unified voice, then maybe intuit would listen to us. And, not just for our complaints, but also for our suggestions. Many of us have made numerous recommendations to improve the program and we get many up votes, but Intuit never implements them.
@FTAX I get where you were coming from. Getting a handful of people here to scream might get someone's attention, but they pass it on to some other team and it gets forgotten. What really needs to be done is someone needs to obtain a customer list of all ProSeries customers. Then we send out a notice to all of the customers telling them that we are going to schedule a march on Intuit headquarters sometime this summer. We can call it something catchy like the Million Tax Preparer March. It's better than the Dozen Tax Preparer March that we had here in January. 😉
