The social security benefits worksheet is including the non-taxable portion of unemployment benefits ($10,200) in the calculation of taxable social security. Is this correct ?

Is anyone else surprised by how many people collected both Social Security and unemployment last year?
I guess at my age I shouldn't be.
Really jumped out at me also. Could be sign of the time we are in, or number of working spouses which are younger..
Shows my "experience" i.e. age, doesn't it.
The IRS just issued new guidance on March 23,2021.After reading the guidance I don't believe it should be included.Does anyone agree with me?How do you interpret the guidance?
Nothing has changed in that regard. Actually, their revised webpage added and clarified that the calculation of taxable Social Security uses the full amount.
