sold firm how e-file prior year returns

ProSeries cut off my access to e-filing on 1-1-2025 after I've used them for 20 years. I still have prior year returns to e-file.
I sold my firm and the new owner has a ProSeries account licensed for 2024 (I'm still employed there).
How do we transfer the prior year programs to his name and account # so I can e-file?
I'd also like to transfer the unused signatures I purchased (not critical).

Backup your clients that need to be filed and restore them on his computer.

Thank you for the suggestion.

My server computer is now his server. so nothing changed there and there is no backup to move (I do back up).  As one option, I asked the ProSeries Expert located in the Philippines how to change the prior year programs to the new owner's account but he did not understand my need and I had some trouble understanding him.  The new owner is licensed for 2024 returns.

I seems to me that ProSeries allows a new user to obtain and use prior year programs so I could just substitute names & account numbers on the prior years.

If the program is working for 2024, have you tried uninstalling the prior year program and reinstalling it under his license?  I don't know if he can just download the prior year or if that will take a phone call to support to get that done.

You might find it to be more advantageous to buy a current "fast path license" in your old business name for remaining filings needed for prior years.

Yea it's some $$ but at least you can stop spending hours hoping that some overseas "expert" might actually be able to help you.

Thanks, I will consider!

I'm still hoping that a supervisor gets back to me in 24 to 48 hours as promised so the new owner does not have this problem in future years!
