Secure transmission for clients

What is the best product or service to use for secure transmission of documents between clients and tax preparers, with information going both directions?

Does ProSeries offer that service, and if so, is there an easy and quick way to sign up for it within the software, and get it running?

What does it cost?

Are there other providers available that offer this service that preparers are commonly using?

Is there a way to simply acquire encryption for email transmittals, including attachments to those emails?  Or, would this effort only protect things I send to clients, but not things clients send to me?

I am not up on all the electronic products, which ones are best, or how to get them set up and running.  I have not needed this in the past, but I do need to look into it now, and fairly quickly.

The more I know, the more I don't know.

Hello Just Lisa Now,

I have done some research since posting my question about encrypted file transfer, and have learned a lot.  I have chosen your response as "Best Answer" and plan to move forward with the Encyro Pro paid version, but I do also appreciate the comments received from Jim from Ohio and sjrcpa as well.

I looked into the details about Encyro, Intuit Link, Canopy, Dropbox for Business, ShareFile, and TitanFile. The last four of these had higher prices for what I need.  I thought the Intuit Link service might be more confusing for some of my clients to use, and it is connected to the ProSeries software in a way that could actually be inconvenient in some ways; but it is FREE which is always good.

The free "Essential" version of Encyro was inadequate for my purposes, but I liked the Encyro "Pro" version because it does not require signup by the clients to send documents to me, it offers unlimited e-sign processing, I can use my brand on the transmissions, I will know when the clients read or download messages, and it is fairly affordable at about $120 per year at this time.  We'll see how this goes after I actually get started using it.

Thank you for helping me get started with this important service for my clients!
