Reporting stock trade that have about 500 pages

My client just sent me his 1099-B for stock trading that have about 500 pages. Can I just use the summary page to prepare his tax return?

For how many years has the rule been you don't have to attach anything or list the details for covered transaction?

I'm guessing 5 or more.

Time flies when you're having fun.  The reporting of combined proceeds with basis, by brokers, goes back to the 2013 Schedule D.  But back then, there were still a lot of pre-2011 assets being sold.
