ProSeries -Can you file prior year tax returns with this software?

Hi,

A quick question about the ProSeries software for desktop.

If I have an individual that has 5 to 6 years of back taxes to file (Fed & One State Only) can the ProSeries software handle that?

Also, would there be an additional charge for each back year?

Yep, just pony up the $$$ to buy the prior year software and you can prepare those prior year returns.

You'd need the prior years tax programs.  Call Sales and see what kind of deal they can give you.

If you do buy the prior year software, do the earliest return first.  You said you have 5-6 years previous, so 2014 first, the data will carry forward to the next year 2015 and save you a ton of key stroking.
