The overtime deduction automatically goes to include on the W-2.  It says if not to see instructions, but I can't find any instructions for this.  How do you report overtime not included in W-2?

Good morning so I’m the OT is very confusing. If it’s on the w-2 the whole amount gets deducted? And if u have to look it up ex. Paystub ? Paper from employer it goes on the w-2 worksheet.
but how do u determine if its 150 percent ? Or do u just enter whole thing ? Cause then  limited ! Can someone send an example with the w-2 worksheet ?  Without me calling pro series.    Basically it’s an honor system there’s no clean cut amount unless it’s on the w-2 .

Either get a print out or ask how much is 1.5 or 2x… The w2 reporting requirements start in 2026. For 2025, yes, it’s the ‘honor’ system.

It's time and a half (1.5).  To my understanding only the .5 can be deducted.  That is why it's being divided by 3.  The check stub that I have has overtime at 1.5 (time & a half) and 200 (doubled time) When I entered the total amount of each one according to the this, the program calculated the deductible amount.

Overtime is 150 (1.5) and Double time is 200

The W2 shows two entries - listed below

Overtime

Double T
